The attention to detail and quality of preparation and execution of the voyage by Ice Tracks, along with the combination of people that we had on board and the personal stories that each of them shared, made it feel like an event rather than a trip that I had booked and paid for. The passion, dedication and care that Ice Tracks have for the customer experience really came across in every part of the voyage. I know I have come away with lifelong friends and look forward to having another opportunity to catch up with everyone, hopefully on another voyage somewhere.

Thank you Ice Tracks for the most memorable trip of my life. I’ve travelled the globe a good deal but this trip to Antarctica on the Akademik Sergey Vavilov, following in the tracks of Sir Ernest Shackleton a century ago, will live in my heart and my memory for ever. The on-board presentations were all fascinating; we even had the privilege of watching a life size bust of Sir Ernest Shackleton gradually materialize at the hands of a talented sculptor as we sailed on down to the ‘Big Ice’. The organization of the whole voyage was superb. I’m saving up to get Ice Tracks to take me to the Arctic next.

We would like to thank you for an amazing month of South American travel. It was a very special holiday and we just loved every moment.
Rory and Maureen Kirk – South Africa
A big ‘thank you!’ to my fellow Ice Trackers who each made a once-in-a-lifetime voyage so memorable. You all contributed to a first adventure holiday experience that will be impossible to match. Thanks for sharing it with me.

As a person who did it the hard way all those years ago, going with Ice Tracks this time was, for me, very rewarding and comfortable indeed. In my humble opinion, I thought the whole experience, tailor made as it was on this most recent voyage, a quite excellent package. I have, therefore, had no hesitation in recommending yourselves to those who have expressed an interest in my recent ‘adventure'!

Last november I had the most wonderful experience of going on a very special trip, with Ice Tracks Expeditions, to the Antarctic. It was to celebrate Sir Ernest Shackleton's voyage a hundred years ago.
Sculptor Janey Hamilton – UK
Two phrases I often used in my company were: "a business is only as good as the people who work in it" and "we should strive to exceed our customers expectations". Your staff were a credit to you. My partner and I had the trip of a lifetime, so as far as we were concerned you can definitely put a tick in both boxes!
John Rickerby – UK
Thank you to each one of you for your friendship and for sharing this beautiful part of our planet with us. Guts and Caro do you realise what you have achieved ? It has always been a lifelong dream to visit Antarctica and you have been the catalyst that made it all possible. Your enthusiasm and friendship knows no bounds!.
Hengelene – Pretoria South Africa
We thank you both for putting so much work into our trip to South America (Patagonia, Atacama and the Amazon) - we had the most incredible time and are already recommending it to our friends. We loved being so independent and stopping whenever we wanted for lots of scenery/coffee breaks and this has been the perfect way to do it. Atacama Desert
was a superb experience, and would recommend the astronomique excursion - fascinating. And lastly the Amazon Cruise, lovely cabins and again exceptionally good guides - learnt a great deal and it was a brilliant experience.
Lou and Tessa – Limington UK
It was, indeed, a wonderful and unforgettable experience Down South - thrilling on so many levels: the company, the scenery, the wildlife, the history, the non-stop food ... When friends and family ask what it was like, I feel incapable of even beginning a description, as I could not do the experience justice. As they say: you had to be there...
So, now back to everyday reality (no Boris, no Zodiacs, no ice - not in Southern England, anyway - no darling penguins and none of you lovely lot!).
Nick and I so enjoyed being part of The Experience with you all and we are looking forward to a reunion in 2015, by which time we may have had a go at sorting out our 1,000+ photos!!
Nick and Beverly travelled with us to Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica on the Shackleton Centenary Voyage in November 2014.
