Mendoza & the wine region

About the area

Mendoza is one of Argentina’s most charming provinces, the “land of sunshine and wine” where Argentina rears up into the foothills of the Andes. If you enjoy drinking wine or learning about the manufacturing process, then this is the place to head. Approximately 80 per cent of Argentina’s fine wine comes from this region.

The area is also a “mecca” for mountain climbing, with America’s highest peak Mount Aconcagua and its eternal rival, the imposing Mount Mercedario offering countless possibilities for riding, rafting, trekking and hiking at the foot of or across the Andes.
