Travel insurance offering medical evacuation and repatriation is mandatory when you book with us. Please check that your travel insurance will cover you in a medical emergency and will provide sufficient cover in the unlikely event of medical evacuation/repatriation.
In addition, we highly recommend that you have cover for personal belongings, delay departure, personal liability and cancellation/interruption.
Since we are not allowed to include your travel insurance on your travel package nor can we organise it on your behalf, we have listed below some providers who offer insurance for those traveling to remote destinations such as the Polar regions.
Journeyman Services offers travel insurance for UK and non-UK residents up to the age of 80 years old. They also offer cancellation premium for up to £6,500 per person.
IMG Travel Insurance – Patriot Travel specialises in travel insurance with high cancellation cover for UK and non-UK residents even with pre-existing medical conditions.
Travelex Insurance Services provides travel insurance for US residents only, offering high cancellation premiums and specializing in Polar regions.
World Nomads is a simple and flexible travel insurance for independent travellers with a budget.
Booking your flights with Ice Tracks
While many travel companies show flight-inclusive prices in their website, more often than not they will be associated with set departure dates and usually working under contract with a limited number of airlines.
In the other hand, we prefer to remain tailor made, working with all airlines in order to offer the best available routes and prices for the tailor made itineraries designed to each one of our clients.
Moreover, Ice Tracks Expeditions holds an Air Travel Organisers License (ATOL) which makes us a fully bonded tour operator under the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) scheme.
What exactly does this mean to you? … Basically when you book your flights with us, you are also booking your financial protection at no extra cost and your holiday package will fully protected in case you find yourself stranded abroad.
